Boulder Crashes Through Vineyard in Northern Italy
A giant boulder crashed through a 300-year-old building in Tramin, Northern Italy on Wednesday.
The property, named The Friesingerhof, is owned by the Tyrolean Servite order of the Catholic Church. Luckily, no one was injured.
Geologist David Toni Dandl said the rock tower has dissolved and residual rock is still unstable. A second boulder rolled right up to the building, but caused no damage. The vineyard and a neighboring farm have been evacuated.
