WHERE ARE YOU PRESENTLY? I am at the Tipsy Cow, listening to M.C. Hammer.

VOLUNTARILY? Yup. It’s Hammer time up in here. Please Hammer, Don’t Hurt ‘Em was among my first cassette tapes ever, following TMNT’s Coming Out of Their Shells.

OH MY GOD. HOW DO YOU EVER GET LAID ADMITTING THINGS LIKE THAT? I am who I am. Suck it.

WHAT ARE YOU DRINKING? Lakefront‘s Brad Scotch Ale. It’s part of their My Turn series.

WHAT IS THAT? Allow me:

This unique series of beers will come out about 5-7 times a year. The staff at Lakefront will each get a “turn” to craft a beer they’ve always wanted to brew.

HOW IS IT? It’s pretty great! I don’t know a lot about the My Turn series, but this malty scotch ale is a home run. The beer has some really nice, subtle caramel characteristics in the finish, and the taste is straightforward and refreshing.

WHAT’S THE ABV ON THAT SUCKER? 7%

PRICE? I dunno. I’ll find out when I get my bill.

ALRIGHT, MONEYBAGS. DEEP THOUGHTS? There’s no time for deep thoughts: a wedding party just burst in to the near-empty bar and are demanding Jäger and Miller Lite, which means that I’ve gotta jet. As far as the beer goes, I’m definitely on board, and am looking forward to tasting what’s on deck from Lakefront and My Turn.
