WHAT IS IT? Sierra Nevada’s Ruthless Rye IPA

WHERE? The Malt House

HOW MUCH? $4.50 for a pint.

HOW IS IT? Solid. I mean, it’s Sierra Nevada, so it’s not like you’re going to get a half-assed product. They’ve been around the block.

DID YOU JUST CALL SIERRA NEVADA A WHORE? I may have. And I feel terrible about it.

SERIOUSLY THOUGH. HOW IS IT? Splendid. It’s got a good hoppy zing with a bit more in the way of complex malt flavor going on. Well balanced and easy drinkin’.

WOULD YOU HAVE… TWO? Probably.

THREE? Yeah.

MORE? There is a very good possibility, but I’m going to quit while I’m ahead.

DEEP THOUGHTS: Most everything that Sierra Nevada throws out into the world is, at a minimum, decent. This is a lovely hopped-up beer that’s worthy of multiple pints. If that sounds like faint praise, it’s only due to the reliability of Sierra Nevada’s work.
